




We were challenged to leverage Coca-Cola’s sponsorship of the Football League while celebrating the passion football fans have for their clubs.
We developed the groundbreaking Win a Player campaign, empowering fans to win transfer funds for their clubs to spend on new players – transforming armchair football strategists into local heroes. The award-winning activity evolved over four years to maintain engagement and excitement (becoming Buy a Player in year three).
Media, club, community and fan support for the campaign was overwhelming, resulting in over four million promotion entries in four years. The campaign was recognised with numerous awards, including four MCCA golds.
