UKIE Web Site

UKIE Web Site

The UKIE required a cost-efficient Website and CMS build with ongoing management. The website needed to be managed internally, and the member-pages managed directly by the members.

The main objectives were to;

Produce an interactive and engaging website for the newly rebranded UKIE, create a CMS solution with built-in community management feature and use a non-proprietary, future proof solution with well established developer support.

BD created a modern and innovative website that reflected the brand image of the UKIE. BD used the functionality of the open source,  Drupal CMS, to improve cost efficiency and scalability.

The site was designed specifically to fit within existing Drupal modules to keep the cost of development down. A number of different module templates were designed that can be utilised in a number of ways across the site. A workshop was held together with UKIE to facilitate ongoing maintenance for after the site went live.

The website is updated on a weekly basis, with no development support required. Making it an extremely cost effective solution for the UKIE’s requirements.

The overall audience goals have also been met:
The bounce rate was reduced significantly, the average page views per user has increased from 2.5 to 4.5 and the average time spent on the site has increased from less than 2 minutes to 3.5 minutes.
